Nate knows my husband Andy, either through work, or summer trips, or school–I forget which. Probably all three. Nate’s in youth ministry in Colorado Springs, and is thinking and teaching others about youth ministry. Nate’s been blogging for years already, but has always been on wordpress.com, which is a nice enough blogging platform, but a bit limiting when it comes to really digging into the power of WordPress.
When we launched Andy’s new site, Nate contacted me and asked how we could get him up and running with something similar. We put our heads together, migrated him to his own website, and customized this sweet theme for him.
Here’s some of the details of what we did: Nate’s site is now mobile responsive (Nate, that means it adapts to the size of the screen you’re looking at it on), uses custom post types, has custom fonts, and you can subscribe to his blog by email. We set Nate up with MailChimp, because it’s one of my most favorite companies out there, and because by doing so, we can really customize the emails that his readers get.
Take a minute to go visit Nate’s new website!
