Monthly Archives: January 2009 This was a fun one out at Lakes Park this week. We walked along the water, hung out on the bridge, and then played on the brand new playground by the train station. I participated in some scooter racing and boy did I not do well!! Evidently I need to practice more with my own...  The kids and I are shivering in Ohio this week, taking some time to visit my dad. They have been having a blast playing in the snow from the last snowfall, which mostly melted yesterday, and is still going today. Me personally, I’m finding it just a wee bit cold. Yesterday, we all went to...  Before you ask, this was a controlled burn put on by the City of Fort Myers Fire Department for training purposes. I don’t normally randomly stop and gawk at fires, let my children play near fires, or take pictures of fires. We were on the back side of the burn (unfortunately downwind at times!), but...  I keep hearing about the snow and cold up north, so figured I’d share some near Christmas pictures with y’all. Don’t hate us, please…. this is just our compensation for surviving July and August.
