Here’s how I spent my Saturday morning this past weekend (well, the first part of it, which, let me tell you, was way more fun than the next several hours, which I spent sweltering at my son’s soccer game–another loss). I highly recommend early morning for beach sessions–it’s not hot, definitely not crowded, and the light is really lovely. Sunset pictures are awesome, don’t get me wrong, but mornings are just… yeah. Anyway, meet this beautiful family:

It’s always a source of happiness to me to get an airborne action shot. (He is airborne, he’s just two!)

I don’t know if it’s cheating to put two shots in with Mom and Dad in the background, but I liked them both. And it’s my site, so I guess I’m allowed to do it.

I loved this last series (well, you get to peek at just one, but I had a hard time picking a favorite). There was lots of tickling and laughing.

I love backs. Honestly, I think it’s because whenever we go for a family hike or walk, I am at the end of the line, walking with whichever child is slowest.

Thank you, Marissa–I had a great time!
