Katie’s family welcomed home their little son just last week and invited me to come take pictures. Well, I can’t turn down an invitation like that, now can I? This family is just beautiful (Katie was one of the cutest pregnant mamas I’ve ever seen and continues to be gorgeous just days after giving birth!). We had fun and here are some of my favorite shots.

I know, he’s not old enough to smile. But really, what else do you call this?

Having Robin over to play is a fun excuse to jump on the bed. And sit at the very edge of the dock.

I promise, this is a yawn.

David - Interesting effect on that last shot–how’d you do it?

robin cornett - It was done in post–a textured overlay on top of the image itself. I don’t do that kind of thing very often, but sometimes I just look at a specific picture and think it would be fun to try it out. Kind of like sometimes I want a picture with that golden “haze” or glow all over it, sometimes I don’t. It’s very subjective.
