My last few weeks have been a little packed with a ballet recital, followed by a healthy dose of VBS. I took pictures for both (actually I am the “web master” for both the dance studio and our church–please, stop laughing) and have been putting pictures on their sites, but lest you think I’m slacking here, I’m going to put some of my favorites here, too. VBS coming soon.
That one in the middle is mine. Both girls were in this class. It was tough for them to decide which they liked better, the tutus or the tiaras.
This was a neat modern piece with some of the older elementary girls and the teen dancers.
Part of the show was this really lovely tribute to Degas. I have always loved the feel and beauty of his paintings, which are ethereal without crossing over into the merely “pretty”.
This is the girls’ teacher in the final dance, which was really fun, with a good bit of twirling and stamping and clapping.
